The Sun Poem by Kewayne Wadley

The Sun

Rating: 3.5

Your smile greets the sun each morning.
Ascending to heights pictured high up
Above In the sky.
Although a thought.
The world sees it,
But pays it no mind.
Going on day to day.
Mere Passer by's in the street.
Beneath the light of your smile.
Ignorant to the beauty you possess.
Vibrant.
The exotic way your cheeks rise.
Stimulating the flowers that grow.
Blossoming with each step you take.
Exuberant.
The butterflies that trail in the light shone from your lips.
Small sparks that resemble fireworks.
Intrigued by such beauty as their time here is short.
The butterflies that flutter about
In the fulfillment of their day.
In the light of your precious smile
