The Sun Shines Upon My Face Poem by Rhonda Baker

The Sun Shines Upon My Face

The sun shines brightly upon my face
As snow has filled and donned this space
I watch my breath wisp in the air
A cardinal red, I stop and stare
Snow so crisp below my feet
Long forgotten the summer’s heat
Children sledding down the hill
Oblivious to this winter’s chill
