The Sunset Poem by Mike Christie

the sun falls into the ocean
and it does so in a gentle motion
as nature prepares for the night
it takes a last look at this beautiful sight
the sun gets covered by a passing cloud
a few more minutes are all that's allowed
there is no more sun, no more light in the sky
and all you can hear are animals passing by
i know that it's there and it will be coming soon
rising from behind the mountains is that gorgeous moon
the moon rises into the sky with it's heavenly glow
all the wisdom it must posess is what i wish to bestow
