The Swingset Poem by Cat Ducat

The Swingset

She closed her eyes
and swept away,
she moved her legs to a steady rhythm
her pace slowly increasing
She swung back and forth
wind in her hair,
She smiled and laughed as she slipped from reality
cleansing her mind of any troubles, any thoughts.
She let everything go.
Her legs kept the rhythm of her beating heart.
Her heart that felt so light
As she swung away from reality
higher and higher, farther and farther.
She swung away on her swingset.
The swingset that held her tight.
