The Swirl Of Blades Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

The Swirl Of Blades

The swirl of blades above windows high,
As helicopter engines reverberate the sky,
The quiet morning air is broken thus,
As the blades against the sky do thrust.

The helicopter searches here and there,
Continually probing to seek who is there,
As police in the craft so high,
Search out from the sky,
Buildings and streets so forlorn,
During the night and in the morn.

This lingering noise both day and night,
Breaks silences as against crime they fight,
So our cities and towns may be safer still,
And no criminal be allowed to get his will.
