RIC S. BASTASA

The Talk - Poem by RIC S. BASTASA

since you did not
come
for the much
needed talk

the old man talks
to his horse
the spinster talks
to the tree
the baby talks to
its crib
the little girl talks
to her doll
the mother talks
to the picture of her
daughter
the father talks to
the bicycle
grandma talks to
her rocking chair

and then i talk
to myself

like the way i
write
another letter
to you....
