The Tempest

I am thunder, I am lightening
I am not the soft pitter patter of rain that dances on your skin
I am fierce, I am destructive
I have no friends, but the dark sky and black clouds are my company
Believe me when I say I am Thor
I lack restraint, and so much more
I am forceful, I am the tempest
I am quick to anger and for yourself you will see
Why people are so afraid to fall in love with me

poet Henry David Thoreau

Whate'er we leave to God, God does,
And blesses us;
The work we choose should be our own,
God leaves alone.
