.~*. The Tilling Under Poem by Debora Short

.~*. The Tilling Under

Rating: 2.5

Once thick stalked
Near 7 feet
Deep green
With a light
Filled harvest moon face
Fringed tendril
Encircled
Your radiant smile
Reaching out
Warming
Gardened hearts
Now
Glum
Appears
Your
Face searching the earth
Wondering,
It seems,
If your
Once strong
Hard-bodied
Essence will
Nourish
The essence
Of light and love
