The Tour Bus to Heaven
Step on in George Jones!
Saint Peter said I’ll take you home,
This is one show you don’t want to miss.
On country music! Your talent left its kiss!
Drunk or stoned wild and unruly,
You lived the songs you sung.
You singing has not ended!
It has only just begun
His heavenly choir
Needs a singer George;
I’m sure you’ll take the floor!
With us you’ll reside evermore.
All the great singers rode this tour bus,
So take a seat! Sing a song for me;
“I saw the light” would be a good one.
I’m sure Hank will join in.
