The Toy Poem by June FeirCruz

The Toy

Rating: 5.0

Having been in an unhappy marriage far too long
My beautiful friend said 'so long'
Hasta la bye bye she told her ex husband
My time has come
I have to soar

So off she goes to The Rooftop
'I am free to be me' she shouted
Safe in the protection of her beautiful friends
She danced, she drank, she flirted and she laughed...ha! ha! ha!

Then one day she told a friend
I haven't been made love to in so many years
So, 'Darlene' gave her a toy
A toy she must enjoy

And off my friend goes with her shiny new toy
It gave her amusement and some joy
Then I told her: 'Darling: it doesn't have arms to hold you and it can't tell you you're beautiful and that you are loved'.
And my friend responded: 'my God, you are right'.
But for now, she said: my toy will just have to suffice
For it's hard to go out there and find real romance

That cute. But sometime men don't talk.
