The Train Moves On Poem by KASINIVENTHAN MUTHURAMALINGAM

The Train Moves On

The Train standing in the Railway station,
To fulfill its mission of displacing people on every occasion,
Venders busy selling Hot Tea and Samosas,
Beggars seeking Alms, Security men carrying Arms,
Chattering by visitors,
Announcements calling the attention of passengers amidst the Blaring
Advertisements,
The train voices its readiness by its Alerting siren,
Relatives and Friends wave their hands as the train moves on,
The train runs through villages which have different folk tales to tell,
The train crosses the rivers praised by the poets and glorified by the legends,
When the train snakes through the mountains, the snakes hiding in the holes come out to see this giant snake with wonder and awe,
The train Travels through Burst ling towns and silent grave yards,
The train Passes through Agriculture lands and barren fields,
Like a human mind treads through joy and sorrow,
Human mind is connected by train of thoughts,
Human life is a Train journey

The Train Moves On
