The Truth///

God is a scientist
You may have heard
He didn't make
This world for us
But as an experiment
From which He may learn
Learn not from His mistakes
But honest misconceptions
And theories
That the human race
Is worthy
Of a new inception
And while we hurry
Loud and frantic
The Lord is sighing
With every antic
And while we live
In our own little sty
Of processed dirt and sin
We run to our supposed homes
Thinking we're alive
When in truth we are dead
Yes
We got it backwards
Death is first
And life comes last
A simple fact
Known only by martyrs
While those that look
And search for stars
Take control
Of this world we call 'ours'
But in our lives
And in our dreams
We see ourselves
As heroic vigilantes
Seeking power
To do more good
The rain falls down
Harder and louder
It's 'our' job to fix it
If only we could
We haven’t gotten stronger
After all these years
The sun shines no longer
All we have is our fears
We are indeed powerful
Though not as much as we believe
Arrogance in every mouthful
The truth
We may never see
And God he is sighing
What we may call
A gust of wind
And when His heart hurts
And He feels like crying
That is what we know as rain
And when He's angry
And pounding His fists
For our reasons for disbelief
Are part of an endless list
This is when our homes
Might shake
For anger lies in every
Earthquake
But enough about the weather
It's time that you knew
That our luxuries
Are no-sort-of matter
And what God says is true
So praise the sun
The moonlight too
The stars, the earth
They speak to you
And tell you that
Which is only fact
And while every star
Will burst to flames
Like a phoenix
They will come back
Out from the ashes!
Up to the sky!
A new eternity in your eyes!
Enter!
For these doors for us
Open only once
And only for those
Who have been rightly judged
Will hear these words
From a voice that your earthly ties
Will sever
And it says 'Come
Enter your new forever! '
And you will go
An opportunity
Only few will know
For we are experiments
And many are doomed
To live their life
In the wasteland
Of earth's forgotten gloom
So heed these words
And never forget
That if you live your life
As you do now
The end will only hold regret

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

My books I'd fain cast off, I cannot read,
'Twixt every page my thoughts go stray at large
Down in the meadow, where is richer feed,
And will not mind to hit their proper targe.
