The Truth Poem by Vera Sidhwa

The Truth

I went wandering one day.
In which direction I couldn't say.
This walk brought me to a lake.
I couldn't fathom it's meaning for my sake.

I wondered why I wandered this way.
Then a thought struck me in that usual way.
The straight path had been difficult too,
So I went a wandering for you.

It struck me little,
It struck me big,
That the roads to you,
Were the most exciting.
