Everyone will leave
and everyone lies
everyone will betray us
at some time in our lives

We can't trust anyone
we can't let anyone in
we can't trust ourselves
hypocrisy will win

If we can't trust anyone
then aren't we all alone?
Over the time that I have realized this
the sadness in me has grown

Some day someone will tell you
that they will love you forever
but you can rarely ever trust them
usually never

It really isn't fair
and there are excuses you can list
but the truth about forever
is that it simply does not exist
