The Truth - Englyn Penfyr Poem by Leslie Alexis

The Truth - Englyn Penfyr

Rating: 5.0

He says it is but a myth - a story.
Laurie says don’t believe it
-That there’s a hell and a pit.

He makes life into ping pong –playing games.
And claims that God’s heart’s too strong
That he cannot punish wrong.

He does not understand that God loves good.
He would bless it. But the rod,
And fire for all they who trod

The wrong road, for he has given escape.
No cape – hero- for heathen
Who fails to trust he’s risen.

Jesus made a place to dwell. After death
It’s no bet that Heaven or Hell
Is home at the trumpet’s bell.

I've read on the englyn and apparently a very difficult form. If that is so then well done, you've communicated your message very nicely! Great poem! =) -Cheng Zheng
