The Truth Makes Free

Rating: 4.5

The church today must come to see
Must learn to understand
Must free herself of world debris
Must serve as Jesus planned

Take off the mask she hides behind
Allow her face be seen
That all yet lost, still sick and blind
May see she’s Jesus’ queen

Through second birth she’ll raise her head
Quite free of all past shame
She’ll heal the sick she’ll raise the dead
In Jesus’ mighty name

She’ll take to hand God’s mighty sword
Adorned in robes of white
She’ll wear the ring of Christ The Lord
To flood the world with Light

All flesh will hear her righteous song
Will see her deeds of love
Revealing all in life that’s wrong
And Jesus’ way above

When thus in faith she’s spoken out
When to herself she dies
She’ll free the world of foolish doubt
Her light will open eyes

In one accord she’ll work the land
Lamps full with precious oil
She’ll be in Christ God’s willing hand
That ploughs the virgin soil

When once she’s drank The Promised dew
She’ll toil man’s soul to save
She’ll stand her Groom and Master true
And vanquish death and grave…
