Usher Poem by Jeannette Heywood

Usher

Usher us in.
Then usher us out.
We've come for a ceremony so devout.

We will witness this wedding.
Maybe tears we'll be shedding.

What a pleasure to be chosen,
to hear these vows spoken.

We will remember this day.
The memory often re-play.

We must take our places.
Cordial smiles on our faces.

But we must not rules flout.
So usher us in, then usher us out.
