The Unsatisfied Soul Poem by Valerie Christine Anderson

The Unsatisfied Soul

It seems each the course of life at times seems so bitter
Day we're faced with heartache and pain
We're betrayed by people we hold dear
And each time we get up, we're knocked down again.
We climb a mountain only to face another valley
And with each rainbow we face the rain
And each rose we pick is filled with thorns
While each new life brings much pain.
But although we can't get flowers without water
And a morning without night
We must believe our life has a purpose
And we can't win the battle without a fight.
So when it seems that life taste bitter
And your heartache and pain won't go away
Just remember that God is our Father
And He'll never lead us astray.
Although friends may turn and betray you
And leave you standing all alone
There's always one who's by your side
And He'll guide you through the great unknown.
So whatever bitter trials have wounded you
And left your heart searching for more,
Remember if you let Christ, He'll carry your load
Cause He's the only one that can satisfy your soul.
