The Vagaries Of Man Poem by Moonchild Diva

The Vagaries Of Man

I've never been desperate, I don't know if I would steal,
I've never been so frightened that it might make me kill,
I've never been so lost I was afraid I might be found,
so how can I understand the vagaries of man?

I've never walked alone to a doomed destiny,
I haven't suffered any slights to a fragile dignity,
I've never been deferred from any master plan,
so how can I understand the vagaries of man?

Oh angels, hover, hover,
there's a place where people are hurting.
As you accompany souls to God,
hover, to heal the living.

I've never been hungry enough to steal my bread,
I've never lost anyone and cared if they were dead,
I never cared about opinions, never cared what was said,
so how can I understand the vagaries of man?
