The Values And Ideals Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

The Values And Ideals

Rating: 5.0

“The British people proved good rulers”
The old people still remember
Even though we were under rules
They were alive to responsibilities

Yes present system has many ills
No where you can find people’s will
It is for the people, by the people and of the people
So far proved as mother of all ills

So lenient and mild rule
Each one is making others fool
Litigation continues for years
Justice is only fear

Corruption is on rise
Religion propaganda surprises
Caste factor has raised its head
How can country establish clear lead?

Democracy is where people respect laws
Never point out to right things and adopt flaws
Where illiteracy is more
The difficulties and problems are always in store

No system is foolproof
But we need no proof
Only people should feel part
The values and ideals should never depart
