The Very Last Time Poem by Mustafa Marconi

The Very Last Time

It doesn’t matter what I say
Doesn’t mean I’ve turned away
I know not what I seek to find
Just touch me for the very last time
I know that lately you have tried
To mask the tears you cannot hide
I sympathize with how you feel
But fairytales are not for real
I’m not obliged to you to serve
Although you feel you do deserve
We’ve seem to drift are separate ways
And only time shall mend the pain
Hold me closely while I try
To comfort you as we both cry
And as the tears roll down our eyes
Just touch me for the very last time
