The Virgin

Virgin Mary
Is my first love
Epitome of innocence

I used to see her
In the Temple
Of my school
And pray
To be
As innocent
As her pictures
At my school

School of Innocence
School of Grace
School of Sacrifice
Is my School

And I miss the days
That were the days
That were the days!

poet Emily Dickinson

"Heaven"—is what I cannot reach!
The Apple on the Tree—
Provided it do hopeless—hang—
That—"Heaven" is—to Me!
