The Vision Poem by ray shaw

The Vision

I had a vision!
I had a vision;
And it came from God!
The vision came from God.

Of the Pass Over,
Of the Easter Period,
Of Christ,
And the Cross.

The vision would not....
Go away!
Because....
All my senses,
Were involved!

The vision
Of the Cross,
Repeatedly presented itself,
Much to my chagrin;
Over,
And over,
And over Again.

I saw a bun;
A ‘Hot Cross Bun’;
Such,
A marvelous vision!

And;

I could feel the bun,
In my hand.....
Feeding it into my mouth
So that the huge bite
Could.....
Gently slide down my throat
Ably assisted.......
By the generous application
Of rich butter!

The taste,
Is not to be surpassed;
The aroma...........
Wafting through my nostrils
Well before and after.....

Ooooooooh!
I was beside my self
With envy
Because I know
The buns made for the Easter Period,
Are of the best quality
And taste (not to mention price)
For the whole year!

Then I got
The urge!
The urge to get a few
And deservedly spoil myself,
And to make
A real glutton of my self.
I got the urge........
And I had to go.
I did.
