The Wait Is Over Poem by Lovelyn Layon

The Wait Is Over

Long years have come to an end,
Thousands of hours buried deeply within,
Millions of minutes stops within thy reach,
No one could fill the emptiness except by you.

It is over, and I can't take it back
The pain that overcomes me, like a streak
Of lightning that cuts my chest
It's over, there's no point on going back.

I've waited too long for you to return
But even a single sign, you have gone too far
I reached for your name and everything about you
It's too late, I'm already lost.

This battle of love, fear, and rejection
Comes with never ending sadness
Of a heart that's filled with emptiness
Though it's you that kills me at my best.

The long wait is over..
Because tomorrow I'll be gone
For this sorrow has come to an end
And every pain vanishes with you.
