The Water In My Tea Poem by Sophia Katona

The Water In My Tea

Rating: 5.0

Look at the world around you,
And you may be surprised to find,
How water can move from place to place,
The reasons, unclear in your mind?

When jumping the waves or paddling in the sea,
You may be intrigued to know,
That the water you have been in,
Could once have been snow!

Now this may sound confusing,
But it is in fact so true,
Because the droplets that have evaporated,
Have been thoroughly cleaned for you!

Off the ground and into the sea,
Where the cold wet clouds will blow,
It will soon come down as rain again,
To help the trees and flowers grow.

When you next build a snowman,
You may be happy to hear?
The frozen water that has been used,
Has come from somewhere near!

Now you have read this poem,
I hope that you can see,
There is a lot more to the water,
That you put in your cup of tea!

any relative named Stephen? any sister/daughter named Lora? how about the L. Katona on PH? Apropos [a word i may never have used...ever before] to this poem, i found the FLOW to be sparklingly clear in this poem. so good, that i might have written it! ! ! fine rhyming as well. well, I’ve never given much thought to water (vapor) moving around, but it seems reasonable that when it rains hard, the water flows down the gutters; gravity and fluidity. Evaporation I’m glad to know the yellow snow …, that made my snowman blond, has perhaps been cleansed of its … “color”……, before it ends up … in the pond. And if, in the pond, there still is pee, then I truly hope and pray …. that before the water ends up in my tea … the yellow’s gone. That’s all I can say. bri :) my favorite stanza: ow this may sound confusing, But it is in fact so true, Because the droplets that have evaporated, Have been thoroughly cleaned for you! to MyPoemList

A subject that need more poems than love deserves, in my opinion. Well written, wonderful sincerity. Please, if I may extend an invitation to read my poem: We Came From Water. It's experimental, of sorts, so it's not that it's a good poem as much as just spitting into the wind. As such, you may find it different enough to be interesting, in the least.
