The Way Life Used To Be Poem by Marilyn Lott

The Way Life Used To Be

Rating: 5.0

It’s hard to believe that still
Today in modern times
Technology has been frozen
It’s exciting though, I find

The Amish way of living
Is old-fashioned for today
Using still the horse and plow
Wanting life to stay that way

They live off the fertile lands
No chemicals do they use
Baking bread from their own wheat
There is nothing they abuse

Most of us can’t imagine this
But it’s so fascinating to me
For their world is truly
The way life used to be!

Yes Marilyn, i can't imagine me today living as they did way back when. Thou, i can see it being a (very nice) way of life -'for them', back then! I don't think we could do without electricity and god forbid 'our cell phones' If you could not use your computer! Then how would you write all your poems? ? Best wishes! ! *10*! ! Friend Thad
