The Way We Did
Life is sometimes liken
to the waking from a dream
blurry at the beginning,
then slowly squaring up
to what reality is supposed to be.
In our infant years
we embrace the learning cycle.
In our teenage years
we explore our bodies
as we grow older.
Our adult years are spent
enjoying the fruits
all our labours brought us.
Watching our children
progress through life the way we did.
