The Wedding Garment Poem by richard ilnicki

The Wedding Garment

God, the tailor,
our providential robe maker
hjas taken our nakedness,
shame and guilt,
our recalcitrant inclinations
and dressed them in sartorial splendor.
He has outfitted us with purity
for His pleasure
from head to toe.
His garments,
rainbow threads of many colors
patiently woven,
cover us
from the inside out
with love.
