The Whispers Of Gentle Winds - Poem by Lilly Emery

The Whispers Of Gentle Winds

I hear the whisper of your name
In the gentle wind;
I stand alone in the moonlit skies
Of a lonely night,
Gentle the wind that blows across
The sea like you and I;
I know that you are close but could
Never touch this hurts me so much,
I am alone why you are holding some
One other then me;
Do you not hear my heartfelt cries,
The direction from where the wind blows,
I close my I and think of you like we yous
To be when you once loved me,
Below the branches, here were I set
Your love is were we once made,
But now can you sens my fear you
Put in my heart?
Only when I hear your name I start
To go cold;
I sure the gentle wind did blow my name
In your ear and I know you are near,
I can close my eyes and listen to the wind
As it cries another time,
Caressing at my skin,
The wind of delight entice me.
I will never be the same.
I will follow the gentle wind.
Where it leads me I do not know.
The glistening waves of the sea
I see you and me,
The winds that blew us together
Is also the one that had taken us apart
And left me with an empty heart,
I hope you are happy for what you had
Done to my life,
You gave me love then you taken it a part
Step by step,
You broken me down and made me feel
Lost like a clown,
I hear your laughter on the wind of all
The pain you had put me in,
I try with all my might to understand
The why's and all your lies,
I reach out and touch the sounds of the
Gentle winds and made it my friend,
You must be getting closer
You must had feel my whispers of my cries
Another lost year with running fears
Of what we wants was and what we became.
