The Wife Should Maintain Morality!

Like the fire that burns and destroys
Self and the supporting wood material,

If the wife, who burns the heart of the husband
by illicit morality, spoils her family life,

What is the use the sacred thread
that is suspending in her neck around?

Instead, if she can make a knot
with it around the neck to hang,

shed the burden of living,
is not the big burden to the land also settle?

Poet Vedhanayakam wishes women to maintain morality
For the welfare of their family, to be respected by the society!
