The Winter's War

My comrades have fallen
I am still haunted by
Their deaths but I
Tell myself that they
Have died in the pursuit
Of freedom but it is
A lie a masquerade
We all fall to the
Winter's war in the end

So late into the night,
Though the heart still be as loving,
And the moon still be as bright.
