The World Is Falling Apart Poem by Shalom Freedman

The World Is Falling Apart

THE WORLD IS FALLING APART

The world is falling apart
And I am writing my little poems
Injustices are everywhere
And I am looking out for my own small self
There are writers who change the world
I am not one of them
There are writers who care so deeply
About the sufferings of others
That they write of them with power and conviction
I am not one of these either
The world is falling apart
The Middle East is a disaster
The violent and more violent do deeds of horror everyday
I have had a bad cough the past two weeks
But today I can at last walk outside
The world is falling apart
But I feel a lot better today.
