The World Remains Unchanged Poem by hiraa kazmi

You say, one cannot change the world
with individual thoughts and words
I agree, its very true.
but how can it be changed then?
if collective strength is needed
let you and us join hands.
Believe me, many others will join us,
for humanity is weary now
of all the ridiculous strives.
But your response astounds me
being a part of 'a bigger picture'
slowly, you withdraw your hand
and 'the world remains unchanged'.
