Theatre Of Life Poem by Nitin Suresh

Theatre Of Life

Rating: 3.5

The waves unfurled into half completed carpets
On the little corner beach washing ashore
Crimson eve on a dreary day watched by
Hundreds of eyes lying together in the theatre of life

Lovers watched demurely building on castles of sand
Filled with hope, smiles and promises hand in hand
As kids wondered on the sights and the sounds
Of the gurgles of naughty tides that played with it

Sun in a mélange of colours on waters at its seams
Soothing a weak battered soul who failed on the day
Brightening up the kind heart filling with hope
Reminding each one of the half forgotten dreams

Every portion on the beach an act of life
Players on a brilliant stage with a role and souls
Hapless beings, comic stars, cherubic child, tiresome hearts
Meandering actors and those with defined goals

Markets born amidst the cacophony of crowded evenings
Bell and trinkets and the kites of brilliant colourful fest
Every seller yelling to be heard on tranquil leanings
Struggling to be happy returning to kids and a waiting nest

Every day every moment a conch created of chiming sound
A pebble polished with jagged edges making it round
Rehearsal of the day, thinking of the act to follow before
Hundreds of eyes lying together in the theatre of life
