Their Souls Will Speak Out Poem by Ramdas Surianarayanan

Their Souls Will Speak Out

Hi friend….!
Never saw you before…?
What made you come here?

I am here for no reason....
And it’s all in vain...
It’s time to break thy solitude;
You have got a friend to chat.

I remember, I remember.....
The screaming of people,
Still echoing in my ears.
Gunshots, blasts, all around;
When I took my last breath
I asked myself,
What's my sin?

The remnants of walls
on my back, told me....
You are an Israeli……
I am here,
As I am an Israeli…

It’s all human,
My friend!
They kill, they lie, they steal,
To make them what they are....
In the chamber of 'Oashmitz',
I have seen, men slaughtering men

When I took my last breath,
I asked the same to myself,
What sin did I commit?
The scream of Nazi's said:
You are a Jew…

It’s natural my friend...
They stay with the foe,
Against their foe.
It’ll take a million decades
For men to know
Who the real foe is....
Is it war…?
Is it human himself..?
