Then And Now Poem by Travis Johnson

Then And Now

Rating: 3.5

Back then I was a boy
But now I’m a man
All I put my girl through
If she told me I still wouldn’t understand
How she feels
I act like it’s not my concern
Even though when I look at her
On her face I can still see all the hurt
I walked on our vales
To death do us part
It seems I did it so careless
Like a normal walk through the park
If I could go back in the past
If I could change that time
I would go and change my mistakes
And hold her with no tears in her eyes
This is my pledge
My right hand in the air
Every morning and every night
For you I will always care
Cause back then I was a boy
And right now I’m a man
I need to start listening to her
And her feelings I might understand
