Therapy Poem by gershon hepner

Therapy

Rating: 5.0

Some people are told that their screws should be tightened
while others are told that their screws are too loose,
but those who take comfort from being enlightened
aren’t roped into therapy, since it’s a noose.

David Brooks (“From Freedom to Authority, ” NYT, May 14,2006) writes:
Psychologists joke that two sorts of people need therapy: those who need to be loosened up and those who need to be tightened up.

I like the bouncy rhythm as much as the wit in this one, Gershy. Love, Gina.
