There Was A Guy Poem by Gert Strydom

There Was A Guy

There was a guy that didn’t want to marry
and wanted to gather women and love them
as if he was preparing them for a harem
and magically he could tie them to him
and do with anyone as he pleased
without one of them ever arguing.

There was a guy that didn’t want to marry
and wanted to gather women and love them
and drove distances to meet them
and at night before the morning dew
one after the other held him in passion
until he lost his heart and she didn’t like him
and there was a guy that couldn’t marry.
