There Were Sparks In Both Of Your Golden-Brown Eyes Poem by Gert Strydom

There Were Sparks In Both Of Your Golden-Brown Eyes

When I did arrive
there were sparks in both of your golden-brown eyes
when I found you in your garden at the roses
and how eagerly I wanted to kiss you,
when I did chase up
a small weaver
while your body did gleam through your dress
and the spring was blossoming around us.
