~these Eyes~ Poem by Sinnaminsun Sinnaminsun

~these Eyes~

Two heavy,
swollen
blackened pits
Center
green rimmed
funnels,
Deeply
looking
at all
which is
befuddled...
A joke
only
makes this
less
acceptable,
more
avoidable
For your
words
have become
too
predictable.
Seems interest
has turned
to anger,
And in
pursuit of
emptiness,
I found You.
And you
gave me
nothing
in return...
I'll lie
on sable,
while you sleep
on sand,
And there
I'll leave you.
Think
of me
as
each
grain
fills
your hourglass,
And I'll
forget You
almost
as
fast.
