These Perilous Days Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

These Perilous Days

Perilous are these trying days
And dark are the clouds that hover,
Each man must strive in all his ways
To survive the trials he must face here.

Like a vortex that swiftly swirls around
The world swallows us in its conflict,
Fear and distress, no peace can be found
As we live our lives to await its verdict.

In everything there's a time and season,
The choice is still ours to make or break.
To stand strong and brave, to find a reason
To live a noble life whatever it takes.
