It was the best of times
It was the worst of times
It’s a recession now,
..and I am pinching pennies and dimes

Times are tough
Times are rough
The tough makes you rough
And the rough makes you tough

Working hard to make a living
Pinching pennies, its hard to be giving
Im set out to do what I can do
God has blessed me with resources to help you too

Most people will try and fail
The government did and they had to bail
God wants us to take the narrow trail
So in the end he and I will Hail
