They Told Me Poem by Kasia Fedyk

They Told Me

Rating: 3.2

They told me
nothing will ever change

They told me to put my emotions
in my pocket and leave them there
to simply experience all the beauty

They told me
not to look at the light of a candle
as it flickers sending messages
of hope and faith
symbol of the everlasting flame

They told me
to stop dreaming
and floating in the clouds
in the shape of a heart
and manifest it

They told me
not to paint in all colors
and see visions of peace
in every stroke

They told me
not to dance with air
and loose myself completely
with every move

They told me
not to be weak and shed any tears
to cleanse my soul
and find strength

They told me
not to be who I am
become someone else
just because

They told me
love can't heal
and transform
everything there is
into one
Divine light

Who told me that?

Excellent verses. The question lies unanswered and gives the feel of driving out negativity and embrace the positive. Awesome.
