Thieves & Cheats

We see them teach hear them sing
Of God’s miraculous feats
Preachers preaching of Heaven’s King
Though some are lying cheats

They’ve books and tapes in cupboards stored
Bibles upon their shelves
Explaining truths of Christ The Lord
But hearing not themselves

Such vast knowledge they may pursue
Of God and Heaven’s road
Seeking to rob Christ’s chosen few
Of riches Love’s bestowed

Their money, houses goods & fields
While seeing them as fools
Not knowing what wickedness yields
Nor their Father lives & rules

With no Spirit of God on high
No fear of His might
Woe betide them when they die
When facing Heaven’s Light

Before The Judge they’ll surely stand
Without The One denied
But see the power of His hand
Denying them inside

Each screaming “God what have I done
How wayward was my path
Rejecting Christ Your Lamb & Son
To face Your dreadful wrath”

They’ll see The Truth they’ll understand
Hell’s door opening wide
The awesome power of Jesus’ hand
Cramming them inside
