Things They Don'T Teach Us

Rating: 4.5

First rule
Shouldn’t ask too much
Shouldn’t think too hard
Must not bleed your brain
Shouldn’t,
Shouldn’t do nothing
Cause that’s how you go crazy.

Bury your many questions
Save them in your sleep
Hide your thoughts in the closet
Truth hurts,
So don’t look for the answers
They aren’t always there.

Don’t chase after victories
Glory often destroys silently
Settle for second best
Be nor happy nor sad
Act still,
Numb yourself
Buy a doll,
Imitate a doll.

Don’t react
Don’t respond
Be very silent,
Or talk like a robot
Don't be understood,
Don't be misunderstood
Don’t fight authorities
Right doesn’t make might,
But we’ll change that one day.

Don’t dream too high
Don’t fly too low
Don’t disappoint
Feed your hungry wings
You cannot heal a shattered soul
Nor can you fix what ain’t broke.

Practice making mistakes
Break a glass
Trip on stairs
Write some hate letters
Laugh at envious enemies
Learn to be loathed,
But don't loathe.

Facts are wishful thinkings
So don’t stop at a red light
Don’t rely on books
Don’t trust statistics
Governments don’t speak for us
Must breath
But mustn’t depend.

Enjoy lonesome
Value boredom
Love somebody with your heart and soul
Don’t conceal your flaws
Don't correct imperfections
Love them,
Flaunt them.

Dance in the rain
Ignore the ugly voices lingering around you
Neglect uncertainties
Swim in the winter
Praise opponents
Make friends with nature
You'll sleep better,
You'll live longer.

Faith must not turn to despair
But do smile
Moderately
Never too frequent
Fame kills integrity
So remember
Your feet must touch the ground
Humble you must,
At all times.

Very fun to read. Other rules they don't teach you: Don't be a victim. Don't listen to everything they say.
