Thinking Of What Used To Be; Our Love Poem by Kimberly Santistevan

Thinking Of What Used To Be; Our Love

Rating: 4.5

I am thinking of you again
Even though I am in love with someone new.

You were my first love
I thought me and you
Would last a lifetime.

I some times sit and think
If we were meant to be
But if that was the only question
I know the answer is that we weren’t meant for each other.

Our future crashed down
To nothing
We said our goodbyes
Set our love aside.

Didn’t bother to look back
Became friends for a short while.

That didn’t seem to work out
We stopped talking.

So right now
I’m sitting and thinking of you.

Questions keep popping in my head
Do you miss me?
Do you miss my voice?
Do you miss my smile?

Do you miss my love?
Do you miss my hand in yours?
Do you miss holding me tight?

Do you miss anything about me?
Do you miss me always right beside you?
Do you think about me from time to time?

These thoughts are unbearable
But I do know
That I am happy where I am at now.
I hope you are too
And yes I do miss you.
