Thirteen O' Clock Poem by Gloraly Gomez

Thirteen O' Clock

I've been waiting
For this time to show
The hands hit 12 and 59
But then to 1 they go

Midday, midnight
It's been so long
But that 13
Just will not come

Then the alarm
Rings in my head
Like saying,
'Girl, get out of bed! '

'It's time to rise,
It's time to roll!
This is your one
And final wake up call! '

Don't have more
Time to sit and wait
Just have to go
Participate

Move on, live life
And don't complain
Make dreams come true
And smile again...
