This Aching Heart Poem by Gerry Legister

This Aching Heart

Rating: 3.5

My heart is breaking
My head and body are aching
Fear has force me into a shelter
From attacks of relentless fever
I weep a little and it comforted my misery,
My impoverish soul begging for mercy.
For this aching heart is breaking painfully
It is a constant reminder our humanity
From the heritage of our faith
I have known the thrill of each breath
Stand up and speak out to friends
Meet people at their wit ends
Just being a part of this world movement
Demonstrate our wiliness and commitment
