Now filled with grief and pain

A mother's birthday once full of joy
Now the day to bury her son

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
On New Year's Eve, just before midnight, a car accident claimed the life of my friend's 19 year old son. On Friday, her birthday, she will burry him.......my grief and sorrow for her loss have no words.....this is but a sad attempt to put to words my disbelief.
