This Friend Poem by Char Pattrick

This Friend

As much pain and mourningful sorrow bought

To my life my dreams i have always sought

To the harder you struggle to always contain

With mind in turmoil as you lay quiet in vein

Precious memories are all but gone right now

And all that's left is is to figure its all out how

Your life went from great to be so fearful

That now the days filled mostly all tearful

I am waiting to see the sunshine on my son

And see his smile, feel his hands, what fun

To reach out to my daughter and be free

Of what is now sadness and fear for me
